Beignning to write of education is so tiresome; let alone speaking. However if taken in right temperament, it is equally important to discuss accolades of one of the most enigmatic fields of work today.
The most important thing by far as we all agree is acting in the genre thereof. But how then, education is related to cinema ? You must think.....!!!
The answer lies in knowing the birthday boy of the day; Mr. Om Puri.
Born on 18 th October 1948, this legend is a distinguished student of Film television Institute of India, Pune. Not only this, but also alumnus of National school of Drama, New Delhi.
Indeed, its not surprising that education sharpened the talent of this quintessential actor. So, lets try and view education from a better point of view and put it off the gun point.
He has also being honoured with India's fourth highest civilian award, PADMASHREE AWARD.
Starting with debut film Ghashiram Kotwal, based on a Marathi play of the same name in 1976, he went on to win National film award for best actor for his outstanding wok in Maachis(1996).
He became known internationally by starring in many British films such as My Son the Fanatic (1997), East Is East (1999) and The Parole Officer (2001). He appeared in Hollywood films including City of Joy (1992), opposite Patrick Swayze; Wolf (1994) alongside Jack Nicholson; and The Ghost and the Darkness (1996) opposite Val Kilmer. In 2007, he appeared as General Zia-ul-Haq in Charlie Wilson's War, which stars Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts.
